Drinking Sucrose Before Exercise Helpful in McArdle's Disease

"Drinking a sucrose beverage before exercise improves exercise capacity and sense of well being for patients with McArdle's disease, according to the results of a single-blind, randomized trial published in the Dec. 25 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
